Aqua superPower and Ingenity Join Forces to Expand Electric Leisure Boat Market

LONDON, UK & ORLANDO, USA (October 13, 2022) –  Global marine fast charging network operator Aqua superPower and award winning electric boat manufacturer Ingenity announce their strategic partnership to jointly promote marine e-mobility in the sports and leisure boat sector.  Aqua superPower and Ingenity will be collaborating to drive charging infrastructure and compatibility standards to make clean electric boating accessible and accelerate the transition to marine e-mobility.

Ingenity Electric is focused on expanding zero emissions and sustainability throughout the marine industry. Earlier this year the company launched its 23E luxury day-boat to great acclaim, featuring Ingenity’s patent-pending modular ‘skateboard’ design and joining their sportier GS22E, a surfboat developed in collaboration with Nautique. Aqua superpower has been rolling out its network of marine fast chargers with installations in the US at Lake Tahoe and Lake Michigan, and in Europe along the Cote d’Azur (France), Venice (Italy), Spain, Portugal, Sweden, and the UK, with substantial deployment growth to come.

Ingenity has adopted the automotive industry’s Combined Charging System (CCS) standard to pave the way for open usage of DC and AC chargers for their entire product range. When asking a consumer to make a significant investment in an electric boat, they need to know they can have the charging that suits their lifestyle. Access to a robust charging network makes the decision to switch to an electric boat much easier. The partnership with Aqua superPower is to expand the network to provide the convenient charging boat owners need.

Sean Marrero, President of Ingenity, stated, “Ingenity will continue to lead the way in enabling boaters to do what they love on the water in a more sustainable way, but electrification is about more than just boats.  We must also come alongside like-minded companies to provide the next generation of infrastructure, distribution, and support.  There is nobody doing more on the marine charging side than Aqua superPower, and we are happy to be working closely with them to create a better tomorrow today for more boating customers.”

Scott Canning, VP Business Development USA of Aqua superPower said, “Electric boats need charging and chargers need boats. Our strategic alliance with Ingenity adds to the growing stable of leading electric boat makers Aqua superPower is working with to drive and develop marine fast charging interoperability, safety, and compatibility standards. We are very excited to partner with such a prestigious boat brand as Ingenity to jointly facilitate the adoption of sustainable, clean boating.”

Ingenity’s intelligent software with remote charge monitoring and navigation systems will integrate seamlessly with Aqua superPower’s network and user management technology. It is vital from a safety point of view that the latest connected technology is used, and electricity cannot be drawn until the electronic handshake with the boat has been completed satisfactorily. Aqua superPower’s fully sealed IP-65 rated DC rapid chargers are smart networked to deliver regional charging corridors and hubs in both inland and coastal boating areas.

The Aqua superPower network is accessible to electric boat users via the Aqua secure app or RFID card, enabling users to view a map showing charger options, offering navigational aids, and managing charging sessions. With this new partnership, Aqua superPower and Ingenity are creating a seamless user experience that will support the growth of the electric leisure and sports boat market as part of their shared mission to reduce the impact of boating on the marine environment.

INGENITY 23E WINS INDUSTRY INNOVATION AWARD IN OVERALL SMALL BOAT CATEGORY

INGENITY 23E WINS INDUSTRY INNOVATION AWARD IN OVERALL SMALL BOAT CATEGORY

MIAMI, FL (February 19, 2022) – Ingenity Electric is proud to receive the Miami International Boat Show Innovation Award in the cuddy cabin, bowrider, and deck boat category for the all-new 100% electric day boat, the Ingenity 23E.

“Its skateboard platform could be the start of a new generation of electric boats,” said judge Alan Jones. The innovation awards are granted annually by the National Marine Manufacturers Association and Boating Writers International.

In addition to its modular design, the Ingenity 23E is full of new technology. Seamless integrated steering and throttle control combined with an intuitive user interface on the touchscreen make operating the 23E simple and approachable. Standard on-board telematics brings remote charging and location monitoring to your phone via the Ingenity Connect app while also enabling over-the-air updates.

The innovation award comes on the heels of Ingenity’s Nautique GS22E being named 2021 Boat of the Year by Boating Magazine. This is the first time this prestigious award has been given to a 100% electric boat.

Sean Marrero, President of Ingenity stated, “This has been a breakout year for Ingenity as a brand and electric boating as a category. It is one thing to be recognized against other electric boats, but Ingenity is showing that electric is quickly becoming a viable option against any boat in certain categories.”

Marrero added, “Ingenity will continue to lead the way in high power marine electrification so our customers can continue to have the on water experiences they love in ways that are more consistent with their values around sustainability.”

INGENITY LAUNCHES 23E 100% ELECTRIC DAY-BOAT

INGENITY LAUNCHES 23E 100% ELECTRIC DAY-BOAT

MIAMI, FL (February 16, 2022) – As its first product designed to take full advantage of a zero-emissions drivetrain, Ingenity Electric has unveiled the 23E at the Miami International Boat Show.

Striking with style, the Ingenity 23E is an electric day-boat in a luxury category of its own. From subtle accents to bold lines, its modern classic design blends the contemporary and the timeless in perfect harmony. Its patent-pending modular “skateboard” design brings unprecedented flexibility for development of future products.

The absence of above deck drive components at the transom opens the boat to new possibilities for doing what matters most…spending time with people we love. The three main seating areas on the Ingenity 23E create the ideal environment for up to eleven. The bow has an optimal “round robin” arrangement, and the wind gate can be opened up for a clear passage from the sandbar to the stern. The mid ship hosts shaded relaxation while the stern cascades down into a natural invitation to the water.

The Ingenity 23E uses forward-facing sterndrive propulsion to optimize safety, performance, and low-speed maneuverability. The boat is designed for luxury, comfort, and stability and can cruise up to 14 hours at low speed with its 126 kWh range package. The 23E runs at a top speed of 30 mph.

Seamless integrated steering and throttle control combined with an intuitive user interface on the touchscreen make operating the 23E simple and approachable. Standard on-board telematics brings remote charging and location monitoring to your phone vie the Ingenity Connect app while also enabling over-the-air updates.

Sean Marrero President of Ingenity stated, “I am incredibly proud of what our team has done with the 23E. At Ingenity, we enable our customers to do what they love in ways that better reflect their values. With the 23E, we can now take the knowledge we have about electric boating and apply it to the larger group of people who prefer being on the water instead of in the water.”

INGENITY SELECTED BOAT OF THE YEAR FINALIST

INGENITY SELECTED BOAT OF THE YEAR FINALIST

ORLANDO, FL (October 18, 2021) — After testing 100 different boats, Boating Magazine selected Ingenity’s Super Air Nautique GS22E as one of five finalists for 2021 Boat of The Year.

In January 2022, Boating Magazine will select the Boat of the Year, the most prestigious award in recreational boating. It celebrates innovation, envelope-pushing, and category busting in addition to how a product makes boating itself evolve. Electric power, great performance, a top-notch build, and luxury all combined were the reason the Super Air Nautique GS22E earned its spot as a Boat of the Year finalist. This first-to-market boat shows that the future is here with electric.

Powered by Ingenity’s electric propulsion and a 124 kWh battery, the Super Air Nautique GS22E is the highest energy density of any recreational electric-drive boat on the market. This boat boasts up to three hours of typical watersports use per charge. At idle, it is nearly silent. Nature and conversations are all that is heard. At speed, the cockpit is drastically quieter than an internal-combustion boat except for the water breaking against the hull.

Charging intervals range from 1.5 to 12 hours depending on the charger. At the helm, you can monitor battery power, temperatures and run time. A boater can also accomplish this using a phone app that is connected to their boat. The weight of the battery and design of the hull enhances the Super Air Nautique GS22E’s ability to generate the world’s best wakes and waves.

Ingenity Electric President Sean Marrero stated, “Ingenity has done something special with the GS22E because it shows that you can have all of the fun without any emissions. Being a finalist for the most prestigious award in recreational boating sends a strong message that our industry is more than just prepared to offer solutions for a more sustainable future. We are actually doing it.”
